Between June 2006 and March 2010 Sheilah Hamilton penned 50 articles dealing with different aspects of forensic science and fire investigation. These were published in Culture, a popular Hong Kong monthly publication. The main reason for writing these articles was to show a non-technical audience how forensic science had been used successfully in Hong Kong for four decades. Much of the material in the articles related to local cases, but others were of wider and more current interest (e.g. Michael Jackson's death and the controversy over drug testing in Hong Kong schools).
A selection of 15 of these articles1 has been made available with the agreement of Culture (www.culture-hongkong.com).
